Both national as international Leo Koot is known as one of the most experienced feeder anglers in the world. This specialisation has mainly been created because the common Dutch watertypes such as canals and rivers are perfectly suitable for this type of fishing. Not only ‘traditional’ species such as bream, roach and rudd are targeted with the feeder, because of the improved water quality ‘new’ species such as barbel, chub and ide are often caught as well. World Championship Boat Angling 2007; Eric Goossens is the new World Champion!
From tuesday second to thursday fourth of October the Belgium town of Blankenberge was the location of the World Championship Boatangling 2007. All international top anglers competed in the match, a Dutch team also fished the World Championships. For Eric Goossens, one of the first Dutch Team members and SPRO / Gamakatsu fieldtester, the match was extra exciting as he promised the coach Wil Franken to become the new World Champion before the start of the first day.
