Past, present and feature…
Ever since the founding of our country, in 1994, we are the exclusive distributor of the Japanese GAMAKATSU brand for Europe, Africa and the Middle-East.
SPRO® – our company brand for a broad range of products to suit the large angling community. Our brand offers products in all popular fishing techniques in both fresh- as saltwater. Who doesn’t know the well known and highly valued RedArc reels, the Henk Simonsz rods, the Screamin’Devil and PikeFighter plugs or the HS and Airbody shads, the Dynafil braided lines etc.
GAMAKATSU® – starting as a full range of hooks, rigs and lines, it has grown to a complete range of monofilament, fluorocarbon and braided super lines; a series of highworthy accessories and clothing and an extensive series of spinning- and sea fishing rods for the active angler. Gamakatsu products are of the highest quality and are acclaimed for that worldwide.
STRATEGY® – since a number of years we have targeted the carp market with a separate brand name. To keep the highest quality and practical innovative ideas we have teamed up with a number of crafty anglers from The Netherlands and Germany: an excellent example of this cooperation is the FUZZ system, THE carp fishing hit of 2010!

Next to our own brands we distribute two other respected brands. We have chosen to distribute these two brands because they are the best in their segment.
WATERSNAKE® by Jarvis Marine – the new brand for electric engines from Australia. In a short period of time, this brand has firmly set its position between the other brands. With a superb quality, advanced features and a razor-sharp pricing strategy we are proud to offer the strong WATERSNAKE brand in a growing market for electric engines. SPRO is the exclusive agent for Watersnake® in The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Hungary and Greece.
DYNAMITE BAITS® - This is one, or even the largest, brand name in bait for competition- and carp fishing. Since the end of 2009 we are the exclusive distributor for Dynamite Baits® in The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany.
SPRO – around the globe
After the start of SPRO bv (The Netherlands) in 1994, SPRO Deutschland GmbH was founded in 1999 because of the fast growing market share in Germany.
From our two SPRO companies in The Netherlands and Germany all European countries are supplied, as well as parts of Africa and the Middle-East. All orders are sent from the headquarters in The Netherlands.
Next to the two European companies SPRO has founded an American headquarter in Atlanta from which customers in the United States and other parts of the world are supplied with SPRO products.
