The champion chooses the SPRO Leo Koot Team Feeder!

Both national as international Leo Koot is known as one of the most experienced feeder anglers in the world. This specialisation has mainly been created because the common Dutch watertypes such as canals and rivers are perfectly suitable for this type of fishing. Not only ‘traditional’ species such as bream, roach and rudd are targeted with the feeder, because of the improved water quality ‘new’ species such as barbel, chub and ide are often caught as well. Foreseing the different conditions on the waterside, a range of 4 specific feeder series are developed in close conjunction with Leo Koot. Leo himself and the other SPRO teammembers fish with full confidence!
The Leo Koot Team Feeder series is produced from highworthy carbon material. This guarantees that the rods have sufficient body that remains stiff during the cast. This minimalises the friction of the line to the Fuji® guides and allows further casting... the competition angler knows that far casting often makes that little difference in the catches!
It will be clear that such a unique rod series has known an intensive development- and testing period before its launch. Leo Koot, and his fellow teammember Bert Aufderhaar, have worked closely with our product developers to create the best combination of individual components. Technical knowledge of the product developers is matched with the wishes of the most experienced feeder anglers. During the testing period of the rods, that took over 2 years, many (inter)national victories are made by the team members. A proof that this ‘tool’ is the choice of the champions!
The four rod series as per below are available in the Leo Koot Team feederseries:

Short range
The Short-range series Leo Koot Team feeders is specifically developed for (ultra) light fishing situations. Especially with no flow and very careful takes the sensitive tip makes the difference between indicating the bites or not. Change the feeder weight by a standard swivel lead for a change, to increase the sensibility of your fishing!
Short / Mid range
The Short / Mid range version is available in a Light and Medium Light version, both in 3,60m length. The Light version is specifically adapted for fishing on slow flowing waters with casting distances of 20 – 35 meter. The Light Medium can also be used on slow flowing venues. With these rods, casting distances of 30 – 50 meters are an easy cast without making compromises to the bite registration. The recommended casting weight of both rods are 40 – 50 gram.
Mid range
The Mid range excels in versatility and can be both used at short and mid range by its fairly neutral power built-up. Distances of 40 to 70 meters and a casting weight to 70 gram are well casted with these rods. Through the use of 3 tips with various actions, the rod can also be used for river- and canal fishing in slow to medium flows.
Long range
The Long range feeders combine a very stiff action and a high optimal casting weight with a reduced own weight of the rod. The guides on the Long-range series are chosen to be slightly larger than standard, so that the line has minimal resistance and does not stick to the blank. Tangling of the mainline around the starting- or tip guide is also greatly reduced by this type of guides. The Long-range series is available in 3 versions; a 3,60m MH version, a longer 3,90m MH version and the 4,20m
H series. The 3,60m version is perfectly suitable for fishing 60 – 80 meters with an optimal casting weight of 60 to 70 grams. The 3,90m is more suitable for heavier conditions the rod has an optimal casting weight of 70 to 80 grams and is able to cast distances of 70 to 90 meters with. Last, but not least: the casting canon of 4,20m long. A real power champion for heavy river fishing. With an optimal casting weight of 90 to 100 grams and maximal casting distances between 75m and 100m+ this is
a specialist tool!
