The SPRO Saltwater team defends its Dutch Championship title with success!

With every (inter)national saltwater event it seems to have become ‘normal’ that the SPRO Saltwater team settles itself in the upper regions. With individual world titles Boat and Coast, and both National and World titles for teams in the pocket, the expectations for the team during the Dutch Championships Coast were also very high. At the beach between Zoutelande and Westkappele the team coped with the high expectations and the team became Dutch Champion for teams for the second time in a row!

During this edition of the Dutch Championship Coast loads and loads of fish were caught! With good weather conditions, with a hard wind and only little rain at the end of the match, a large variety of species were caught. This fishing style became a technique that perfectly suited the SPRO Saltwater team.

The team caught a total of 55 fished over the minimum length, and a total length of 1292cm. The numbers 2 and 3 ended with 956 and 947cm. Compared with the Dutch Championship Coast 2007; the SPRO Saltwater team became champion then with ‘only’ 371cm of fish caught! By winning this championship, the team has placed itself for the World Championship Coast that is held from 8 to 15 November in the German city Kühlingsborn. By winning both the Dutch and World Championships Coast competitions, the Netherlands can sent 3 teams to this event!

SPRO congratulates all its team members Jan Hennekam, Arjan Rijnberg, Jan Stam, Remi Lindhout and Eric Goossens for their contributions and excellent results! All team members fished this Dutch Championship with the SPRO FastForward rods (S10 4,50 and 5,00m) and Incognito reels. The used hooks, nylon and Fluorocarbon are of the Gamakatsu brand.

All SPRO team members are present during the Zeehengelsport Totaal tradeshow in Colijnsplaat next 25th and 26th of October on the large SPRO booth to show you the last innovations in our range. All visitors can ask their questions to the team members about their techniques and materials. During the tradeshow the World Championship Boat takes place, all competing boats are boating out from the adjacent dock.
